A Healthier, Happier You
Cosmetic dentistry is more than just having good looking teeth.  It is a blend of function and restoring your smile to what it was meant to be.  The truth is, often times when a person’s bite and alignment are in harmony, the beauty of the smile follows.  For example, having straight teeth looks wonderful, that goes without saying, but did you know that straighter teeth promotes less food accumulation and also makes it easier to brush and floss?  Cosmetic dentistry can help transform not only your smile but also how you feel about yourself.  It is no wonder that people who have a smile that they are proud of will smile more often and when you smile more often, people notice and see you as the person you were meant to be.  A happier, healthier you.

Veneers Image
Veneers
Porcelain dental veneers are fabricated from thin tooth-colored strips of porcelain that are bonded to the front surfaces of your teeth.  They are hand crafted to match your ideal esthetic preferences. Veneers are an excellent option for dramatically enhancing your smile and concealing otherwise stained, chipped, and misaligned teeth.  Additionally, veneers maintain their bright appearance because they do not stain.  Veneers are usually the restorative material of choice for the show Extreme Makeover.
Teeth Whitening
Studies have shown that the smile, after your eyes, is the first facial feature a person will notice.  Dull, yellow, or gray teeth can make you look unhealthy and your smile unattractive.  Brighter, whiter teeth can make you feel more confident, youthful and more willing to smile.  For your convenience, we offer two whitening options:

Zoom Whitening

Zoom whitening is completed in one short office visit.  A whitening gel is applied to your teeth and activated by a special light to help remove tough stains.  You’ll leave the office with a bright, vibrant smile in approximately one and a half hours.

Take Home Bleaching Trays

Take home bleaching trays are preferred by some patients who want the convenience and control of whitening their teeth in the comfort of their own home.  This system allows you to whiten your teeth gradually over the course of one week or so and allows you to work around your own busy schedule.

Botox Image
Botox
Our dentist is trained to provide treatments and procedures that deal with not only your teeth and gums, but the maxillofacial areas as well. Botox can not only smooth away frown lines and wrinkles but they can help bring relief to chronic headaches and  jaw pain due to clenching. These injections can relax your facial muscles so you can look young again, while also treating chronic headaches and jaw pain.

Common Questions:

Botox® Cosmetic is a prescription medicine that is injected into your facial muscles. It is used to reduce the look of moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows and “crow’s feet” that develop around the eyes. It works by blocking the nerve impulses to the injected sites, reducing the muscle activity that causes these persistent lines to form. The effects of Botox® Cosmetic are temporary, lasting up to 4 months.

You may have noticed frown lines between your brows or “crow’s feet” near your eyes, making you look tired or even older than you should. See if Botox® is right for you. Real results, no surgery, and no recovery time necessary are a few of the reasons to choose treatment with Botox® Cosmetic.

Yes. Botox® Cosmetic may be used in treatment of Temporomandibular Joint Disorders (TMJ/TMD). Botox® Cosmetic is injected into facial and jaw muscles to provide relief from jaw tension and soreness. Additionally, these injections can reduce bruxism (teeth grinding), minimize lockjaw, and eliminate bruxism headaches.  Oftentimes, this treatment can cause a secondary benefit of “facial slimming” of the jaw line.

Although the results are visible, a treatment with Botox® Cosmetic will not radically change your facial appearance or make you look as if you’ve “had work done.” The muscle activity that causes frown lines between the brows is temporarily reduced, so you can still frown or look surprised, just without the wrinkles and creases.

Visible results can last up to 3-4 months. Your own results may vary.

Invisalign
Traditional orthodontic treatments often include braces, with their unattractive metal brackets and bulky silver wires. However, Invisalign® is a clear, removable aligner that is worn over the teeth for about 20 hours each day, but can be removed to allow you to eat, brush, and floss normally during your orthodontic treatment. Invisalign® is a comfortable, convenient, and easy to use option for straightening your teeth.

Invisalign® provides other substantial health benefits in addition to straightening teeth. Teeth that are crowded, gapped, or misaligned can be more difficult to keep properly cleaned and flossed. Over time, this can lead to a higher rate of tooth decay. Crowded and misaligned teeth are also more prone to issues like cracking and wearing over time due to improper occlusion (bite). Straightening your teeth with Invisalign® can protect against all of these issues. Additionally, misaligned teeth are more likely to develop periodontal (gum) issues. Invisalign® can help keep gums firm around the teeth, protecting against bacterial infections that can lead to periodontal disease.

The Invisalign® system is easy and convenient to use. At the first consultation, we will review your oral health needs and determine if you are a good candidate for using Invisalign® to straighten your smile. Next, a 3D model is created of your teeth. This model is used to design the steps of your individualized treatment plan based on your unique straightening needs. With this model, you will be able to see what your teeth will look like after treatment even before the treatment has begun. Clear aligners are custom-crafted to work with your teeth. About every two weeks, you will receive a new aligner, slightly straighter than the one before.

Composite Veneers
Composite Veneers
Similar to traditional veneers, composite veneers are a great alternative to the porcelain variety.  Just like its namesake, composite veneers are made from a resin composite filling material and instead of being crafted in a lab, they are usually freehanded by the dentist.  The advantages are many: they are usually half the cost of porcelain veneers, there is typically much less reduction of tooth structure, They are easier to repair if needed, and best of all, many times you can walk out in just one appointment with brighter and more beautiful teeth.
